Little Honey Bees
We are a secular play-based learning community designed for preschool-aged children. We focus on fostering curiosity and creativity through monthly themes that guide our activities and lessons.
🍯September Theme 🐝
This month our theme is Healthy Habits 🌿💪
We’ll spend the month learning about the importance of exercise, healthy foods, keeping our bodies clean, and making choices that help us grow strong and happy!
What will my child be doing?
-
Circle Time
We will go over things such as days of the week, months, weather, and discuss the monthly theme. Every circle time ends with a read a loud.
-
Learning Stations
we have between 2-3 learning stations depending on theme. Though stations vary they will always include math and science.
-
Themed Crafts
we do aim for 1-2 crafting projects sometimes including nature based activities to encourage hands on discovery.
-
Sensory Bins
We aim for 2-3 sensory bins weekly to encourage imaginative play and offer a hands- on way to explore and engage in our monthly themes.

At The Apiary, we follow a gentle rhythm that balances movement, creativity, learning, and play. Each part of our day is designed to keep children engaged while allowing room for fun and flexibility.
✨ Get Those Wiggles Out
We start our day with energy! Kids enjoy group dancing or a lively activity to move their bodies and get ready for learning.
✨ Circle Time
Together we gather for discussion and a read-aloud, setting the tone for the day’s theme and activities.
✨ Stations, Crafts, & Sensory Bins
Children rotate through hands-on stations—crafts, sensory play, and theme-based activities that spark curiosity and creativity.
✨ Group Clean-Up
We practice responsibility and teamwork by tidying up our space together.
✨ Closing Circle & Discussion
We end with reflection, sharing what we learned, and connecting as a group before heading out.
✨ Park Play
Kids finish their day with free play in nature—running, climbing, and exploring outdoors.
